The verse that made me walk away

One verse in 1 Corinthians 14 says it's shameful for a woman to speak in church. I did a word study, and it was worse than anything a pastor had told me. I couldn't follow a God who called a woman's voice shameful, so I walked away from my faith and my Bible for a few years.

What brought me back was studying that same passage in context, with the original words in front of me. Paul wasn't silencing women. He was answering the people who tried to.

That's what this course does: it puts the text in front of you and lets you see it for yourself.
