Rome codified this into law. And too often, we’ve imported that Roman system into our reading of Scripture.

We’ve made God look like Caesar.

But God doesn’t rule like Caesar. God rules like Christ.

And Christ… gave it all away.

So today, I stand not just to teach a course. I stand to proclaim a call:

Authority comes from God—not from gender.

I remember the day I threw my Bible across the room.

Not because I didn’t love Scripture…

But because I did.

Because I had been told that my voice—my woman’s voice—was shameful.

All I wanted was to serve God.

To teach. To speak. To use the gifts He gave me.

But I was told to sit down.

They said:

“Paul says you can’t speak.”

“This is God’s order.”

“This is what the Bible clearly says.”

But when I studied the text for myself…

I saw something different.

God is not the author of confusion.

But the way we’ve been taught to read Scripture?

That’s where the confusion comes from.

Because somewhere along the way, we began reading the Bible through systems of power that didn’t come from God.

We made God look like Caesar.

But God doesn’t rule like Caesar.

God rules like Christ.
